Buzz: Dr. Phillips senior Vernon Walker won both the boys 110- and 300-meter hurdles ahead of Winter Park's Gavin Rose and DP swept the boys and girls team titles. Lake Mary's Ebony Luster had a big day with wins in the girls long jump (17-feet, 8-inches), triple jump (38-8) and 100-meter dash (12.86 seconds). Evans and Lake Mary finished second and third, respectively, in the girls competition. Winter Park was second and Lake Mary third in the boys points race.

 

 

Royal Open at First Academy

 

Buzz: Osceola's Jalen Tyson won the 110 hurdles (15.54) and 300 hurdles (40.46). First Academy's Jahquez Durham won the 200 (22.40) and placed second in the 300 (35.08). In the girls competition Oak Ridge's Sharrika Barnett won the 200 (24.73) and 300 (38.80). Mount Dora Bible's Rebecca Clark won the 1600 (5:14.72) and 3200 (11:03.55). Teammate Jessie Hiteshaw won the discus (115-9.5). Team scores were not kept in the event.
