Rare Florida grasshopper sparrows raised in captivity now reproducing in nature

In what may be a stunning turnaround for Central Florida’s critically endangered grasshopper sparrows, biologists reported Friday that sparrows raised in captivity and released into the wild last year are reproducing this year.
