Florida’s weekly jobless claims decline to 173,191, but it was the worst month ever for the unemployed

Florida ended its worst month for unemployment claims in April as the state reported another round of six-figure filings for the week ended May 2. With the help of millions in federal money, the state has paid out more than $1 billion in benefits since March 15.
